Utils Logs.

Post by Phil23 »

Not sure if this is typical of all installs, but on the only 7 day old S7 install I notice a glaring omission from the logs.

In the brief S7 logs I can see no indication of the actual version of Utils that is being run.
Could I suggest this be the very first line of the file.

Code: Select all

2021-08-26 06:59:02.125 Cumulus Utils Version 6.1.1
Not sure if the Arguments passed could be listed up here as well, but is they were it would be a bonus.
Even if they weren't processed, but just shown right or wrong to indicate what was sent to the exe.

Code: Select all

2021-08-26 06:59:02.125 Cumulus Utils Version 6.1.1
2021-08-26 06:59:02.130 Arguments "web typo anothermistake etc"
Cheers.

Indeed. Actually the observation has been made just prior to you in this thread:

Side remark: I noticed the filenames are missing in the log so you have no clue in which file the error occurs.
Sorry for that, a fix 6.1.1 with that information will be released in minutes.
And indeed in version 6.1.1 the logging info is again as it always was and as it should be.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

(and the version number can't be the first line because the logging system is initialised first which produces some lines in itself so it is the fifth line. You can get used to that I suppose ;) )
