Fire Index

Post by Pirate3000 »

Hi all.
looking at Cumulus utils i was interested in getting just a fire index for the site.
So what files do i need to copy and where to, to get just the output as i want?
Anything's possible with the weather.

@Pirate3000: Just create an installation as described in the Wiki. You can skip the instructions which relate to the website. After this you run

Code: Select all

utils/bin/cumulusutils.exe pwsFWI
If everything goes right you will find the output in the utils directory as described on the pwsFWI page. The configuration file cumulusutils.ini will be found in the CumulusMX directory and so is the language file CUstringsXX.ini. You may want to configure some things.

The command above needs to be run daily (because the dayfile and the forecasts update so it needs to be recalculated).

It is really highly appreciated if you leave the map activated and set the URL to your pwsFWI page (no need to show the map yourself although some do it below their pwsFWI table)

If you have any questions : ask.
If you find flaws in the (new) Wiki : say it.

Good luck
