- A minor idea:

Would it be possible to install a led pilot to confirm that the station remains connected? :?:

- I also have a question:

How do I add "UserMenu" to the main menu?

The resizing of the screen is another issue, will work on it.

There is quite a bit more detail to do now than expected :|
Maybe i'll publish another intermediate beta soon.
It looks like the moon shines correctly in the Netherlands :D

Hi Hans,

Just a FWI regarding your Readme.odt document.

You may need to check the saving/compatibility options.

I see it like this in word...

Cheers.

Could you elaborate? In PM?
I do not quite understand what you mean by this.
kocher wrote: Fri 10 Apr 2020 6:58 pm How do I add "UserMenu" to the main menu?
There is a 'CUsermenu.txt' file in the distribution which shows the structure and the examples. Edit that file and put it in the web root.
If you maintain the HTMl-tags and experiment a little you create as big a usermenu as you want.
If you can't get it done, send me some options and where you want them and I'll create your initial menu.
Should be simple enough though. The structure is repetitive so you can can put menu's beside each other

Mmm... I switched to a new machine and did not have a Word license for it so I switched to OpenOffice. Apparently your Word can't handle the Table of Contents. That's a pity. But if it's the only thing which causes a problem I would not care. Apparently the rest of the document can be read by word (and it should be).

Yes,

Just tried a few things in a fresh install of AOO 4.1.7.
Looks like it only supports older MS Word formats.

The TOC looks very good; I'd not seen it before.
I created the attached file with AOO's Export as Pdf option.
and as it includes the TOC & the hyperlinks work,
It might be better to distribute it as a pdf.

It exported easily & even has the functionality of the Bookmarks in Adobe Reader.

Thank you very much Hans

1) I wanted to say that you could put a pilot in the place on the page that seems most appropriate, for example:

2) Thank you very much for your clarifications, now I have understood.

@kocher: Ah, OK. I'll look into it. Low on the list though as I want to get it 100% functional first, then some additional graphs and then the nice to haves ;)
@Phil: OK, good idea about the pdf. Making the release becomes rapidly more complex, have to automate some things... :idea:

Version 3.0.3 is online

Release notes speak for themselves. I think.

Yesterday evening everything was OK. This morning there were errors in the javascript code really saying weird things. Cause: the absence of a moonrise today. I did not expect that one :bash: :groan: Interesting exercise that moon. ;)

Have a nice Easter weekend, signing off.

I have the following page on my website:

http://kocher.es/cumulus-saratoga/div_wxstatus.php

and I wish I could integrate it into Hans's template; for now I can't think how to do it :groan: ; Does anyone think of how to do it?

Thanks and regards

There is a file which comes with the distribution named: 'CUsermenu.txt' (see code below)

I put the link to your file in it. In the file are also some other examples (direct links, load into the report area etc...)
Just try... If you load into the report area remember that HTML is directly interpreted and executed, so it is just as if you have a HTML file in your browser.

The file you want integrated in the base template is PHP and a lot of iframe. Of course you can link the file, but you cannot execute PHP directly from within. All PHP work is done on the server. Your file would need to be rewritten in javascript to be executed in the report area (with the LoadUtilsReport().

So, no PHP execution unless you fire up a php request and load the result in the report area.
It is the report area where userinfo is loaded (see the call down below).

Is that a disappointment?

Code: Select all

<!-- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -->
<!-- This is an example file for the UserMenu of the CumulusUtils website generator/template -->
<!-- you can safely remove it, empty it or adjust to your own requirements ----------------- -->
<!-- Leave the HTML tags in tact, just fill in your links, Load requests and --------------- -->
<!-- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -->
<div class="CUdropdown">
  <button class="CUdropbtn">
  <!-- Put your button text here, you can add an onclick=LoadUtilsReport('')" event to the button -->
  <!-- or just put a link on the UserMenu text (with or without a dropdown). -->
    UserMenu
    <i class="fa fa-caret-down"></i>

Oh and sorry, but the time and the moon are still not OK.
Local browser time interferes when you look at stations in other timezones. That is somewhat disturbing. :(

Hi Hans,

With regards to the graphs. I've been checking these two regularly lately. looking at how our season is progressing.

I'm flicking between them looking at the trends.

I think it would be a useful addition to add another trace to the first one.
Long term yearly rain to date. From the NOAA figures.
Would be a good visual indication of how we are tracking.

Cheers

Phil.

@Phil: I really do not see what you are aiming at. Is it the cumulative rain you want a running average from?
