The other slap in the face is that they are turning off copper broadband in 2023. There might be an option of 4G internet, but even that is absolutely crap. I can only get 4Mbps down and 0.1Mbps up with that on my phone.

StarLink, now your talking! The Beta roll out in the US shows real promise. ~350mps in the middle of nowhere! Latency zip! $90/mos.

Terrestrial I-net has got to be watching this.

The real issue for terrestrial is “density” purely residential will never cover the costs. You need multi-family/apartments etc. Retro fitting is expensive! :bash:

A friend of mine is getting 600mbps on 5G at the house on three. all for £16 a month!

Sat internet is still crap even if you can get 10Gbps..

You only need some bad weather, and your internet goes down.
