Gateway Ecowitt GW1000, Froggit DP1500, Protech WSMG1000

Post by Armond »

Hi!

I am thinking of buying a new weather station setup though my Meteohub software with Oregon sensors no longer will be utdated.

I wounder if the Gateway Ecowitt GW1000, Froggit DP1500, Protech WSMG1000 is the same?

Would Protech WSMG1000 be compatible with Ecowitt and froggit to upload to weather network?

I suggest you start by taking a look at this posting on the WX Forum. It has loads of information about the various "makers badges", models, and frequencies used.

They are internally the same - whereby the Ecowitt GW1000 (no more sold - now only the upgraded GW1100 model) comes with three different reception frequencies (one model for 433, 868 and 915 MHz each) - the Froggit and ProTech are 868 MHz only.
