Back a long way to the first page of the post, when galfert helped me calibrate my pressure. instructions were spot on. I hadnt given it much thought since, but today I comared my relative (sea-level) pressure with that of the nearest Met Office station at Holbeach, I suppose as its relatve pressure you could use any station for comparison.
Dont think you can get much closer than that.(There is a blue line on this graph as well )

Comparing with https://metarreader.com/ESGT/trollhatta ... rg-airport about 3 km away and waiting for pressure to change
It has been steady at 1007 hPa since calibration was completed.
My relative pressure has been down to 1006.6 and right now 1006.9

Thanks Big Daddy, about to install Cumulus shortly and what you say regarding the rain gauge was my original feeling as well until I used some more twisting power i.e. it did click into place
