Translate labels in CumulusMXDist3147

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Translate labels in CumulusMXDist3147

Post by ChaserPeek »

Hi Guys,

I have upgraded my CumulusMX to CumulusMXDist3147.
I would translate from EN to IT the data labels (Wednesday, 29 September 2021) and all labels of temperature trend (falling...) and pressure trends and wind beaufort.
I work in samplestrings.ini and I have renamed in strings.ini, I have restarted CMX but I have no change. :bash:

In samplestrings.ini I don't found data labels (Monday....Januray...).

Please can you help me?
Thanks ! :D

Can you post your MXdiags file please - there may be an issue in your strings.ini file.

The date formats are generated by your system and controlled by the locale CMX is running under.

Please download this zip file

www.margheriaborca.altervista.org/stazione/MXdiags.zip

Into the zip you can check the log files and my strings.ini file

Thanks ! :D

That is an old version of CMX, but everything looks OK.
And you have the strings.ini file in your main Cumulus folder - /home/dietpi/CumulusMX - ?

A couple of other things from your log file...
CheckLoggerInterval: ** WARNING: Your station logger interval 5 mins does not match your Cumulus MX logging interval 10 mins

Console clock is 1290242 seconds adrift but automatic setting is disabled - you should set the clock manually

I can't believe it... I'm just restarted CMX and now it read new string.ini file :!:
I'm sorry, maybe I got distracted during the setup :bash:

For translate the date, I will try to set IT-UTF in the locale settings in the system.

I'm using a custom RF receiver stick for Davis and it don't have datalogger. Maybe I must check his clock
