From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).
Hi all, i dont know if this thread is here....if not, sorry....i update cumulusmx last version 3129 last night and this morning cumulus was shutdown....relaunch cumulus and this afternoon shutdown again...i have a fine offset wh1080, on raspberry pi 4, no problem with cumulusmx on installation over months to today....copy here final part of log file. If need more log file please tell me.....sorry for my english.
Thanks several people are seeing this same issue - problem is there is no real clue as what is going wrong in the exception data and I cannot reproduce the issue.
This report actually helps a little because the previous reports had been with Davis stations and I had been looking there. This tells me it is in some common code.
I also had issues with the upgrade on RPi4. Not just shut down but a complete black screen reminiscent of Windows blue screen of death.
After a couple of rebuild attempts I finally got things re going with a rebuild of Raspian on another micro sd card, and then add mono and CMX. The data file was still found on the original micro sd card so my calm was restored!!
The whole episode just took time to sort with no loss of data, the system is now working just fine thank goodness.
As an extra I also have issues with testing the email.
Version 3.11.1 has been released - it reverts the FTP component back to the previous version, this should fix crashes introduced when v3.11.0 is running under Mono.
Thanks for that, the upgrade process worked just fine and took the usual couple of minutes rather than the last time, many hours. Version 3.11.1 build 3130 running sweetly.
Mark et al: If its any help my upgrade to b3129 was painless. I am running CumulusMX AS A SERVICE on a Raspberry 4 with Buster release Debian OS and SATA M.2 SSD storage. Prior to the upgrade I stop the service, do the upgrade, and then restart the service.
