My rain amount is reading to high using Davis WLL with cumulusmx by 10 percent, compared to my manual rain gauge, using the Davis weather link software i can put offset in. can i do this in cumulusmx using the rain multiplier and would this be a negative value ?
Thanks

Re: Rain calibration
Hi,
Yes, CumulusMX Settings has a Calibration section which includes a Multiplier and Spike removal for rain.
To increase the rain from the station by 10% use Multiplier 1.10
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Rain calibration
Though it would be better to get your rain gauge calibrated, it's a bit time consuming but not difficult.

Re: Rain calibration
Apols for hijacking this Rain cal Mark,
But it would be nice to have a multiplier for Indoor Temp to support the existing Offset.
By the way, for years I have been using the Rain multiplier extensively to correct tipping bucket errors.

Re: Rain calibration
Hi,
Cheers, Alan.
No, if it is reading too high by 10% then you need to use a "fractional" multiplier, i.e. 0.9 , not negative (unless the rain is falling upwards). Or to be pedantic, it's 100 / 110 which is nearer to 0.91 .
Cheers, Alan.
