Help Please - Absolute Novice.. MX Startup & Install

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Help Please - Absolute Novice.. MX Startup & Install

Post by Hoeveld »

Apologies in advance, I am a novice.

I have downloaded 3098 and am looking to install & setup.

Some of the terminology is a little alien to me.

I have read wiki and other docs but can’t seem to get past the first step to install.

I attach a screen grab of setup once I run Cumulus MX Install.

1 ) I believe I have to input some data to replace “ * “ but which numbers do I insert. ?
2 ) At what point and how do I input my station settings ?

I have a scream grab of my IP settings as displayed by my router available on request ……..

Using Windows 10 & Froggit DP 1500

Many Thanks in advance……..

Unless you have run the netsh command (and run it as an administrator) to allow Cumulus to act as a local web server you must run Cumulus MX as an Administrator.

Code: Select all

netsh http add urlacl url=http://*:8998/ user=\users

Not related,
but from your screenshots it looks like you downloaded the zip file to your desktop,
then unzipped it to the desktop as well.

It would be better to move the CumulusMX folder to the root of your C-drive.
