Wind run on historic wind chart

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Wind run on historic wind chart

Post by AndyKF650 »

Hi

I have been using CMX since August this year and it works really well for me. One thing I have noticed in the historical charts the wind speed chart has the speed scale on the LHS and windrun scale on the RHS. Whilst the wind speed works perfectly with both average speed and gust speed lines showing but the windrun line does not show up at all.

I have checked the dayfile and the windrun data shows as expected. Is this graph looking for data in a different file or is the absence of a windrun line a noted exception?

Wishing everyone a happy Christmas

The Wind run is hidden by default, are you clicking on it to enable it? Highcharts shows hidden data series as greyed out in the chart legend.

Hi Mark

Thanks for that info, obviously a picnic problem for me in Jersey since clicking on the legend gave exactly what I was looking for.

:) In the charts you can click on any data series to hide/show it.

Great to see this included in historical data.
If it hasn't yet been noted, the mouseover readings show units as km/h for me. Shouldn't that be km/day or just km?

Yes that is rather odd, mine shows mph rather than miles. The axis just shows miles without a time span. I would think if anything it should be miles per day.
Perhaps Santa will deliver a fix tonight!!!

I have just relooked at this issue on the admin page and note that the wind run line appears to be not responding despite the wind speed and direction charts working perfectly. The daily log file shows that the daily wind run is being recorded.

Has anyone else noticed this anomaly?
