Updated to 3089, worked briefly, no station updates received

I was using the the 3043 version for well over a year, even managed to stop the USB lock up.

Suddenly 3043 seemed to not be working (later found it was chrome cache needed clearing) but anyway installed the 3089 version, it worked fine for about a day and now all data is at zero and the last station update is 00:00:00.

I'm not a programmer and have followed all the instructions as before with installation. It would be much appreciated if someone could diag for me. I access the Pi 3b+ with putty and can access the files with filezilla. If you could point me in the right direction for logs that somebody could maybe find what the issue is. Cheers everyone.

If you zip up the contents of the MXdiags folder and post them on here, we can then diagnose. The MXdiags folder is in the same location that you installed Cumulus.

I am puzzled as to why you upgraded to 3089 when 3090 was available?

I would suggest you follow the suggestion from the MXdiags error which repeats 1000s of times

There are numerous other errors as well but they could disappear if CumulusMX was able to read from the station, or enabling Debug and FTP logging may give further diagnostics...

I had downloaded 3089 ready to update from 3045 a couple of days it seems before 3090 came out.

Today, all seems to be working again. I had given up with pulling the USB cable out, resetting the Station and rebooting the pi. Then just by chase ( 2 days later) today, its working again.

I dare not upgrade again now to 3090. I cursed Chrome for making me think it had all gone up the creek (version 3045) that had been working for over a year without fault, leading me to the upgrade. Chrome cache needed clearing.

I will see how it goes. Thank you.

The first error looks like an issue with your USB connection.

The FTP errors, I can't say any more really - it's an authentication error, i.e. the server is not accepting your username/password.

It seemed to work perfectly for another day and then stopped receiving updates from the station.

Using putty I just sudo reboot, then again its working. But I don't expect it to be tomorrow. Strange.

It had worked fine for well over a year with 3045 version of Cumulus MX.

Thinking I may have to start from scratch.

I'm on CumulusMX 3.9.0 build 3095 ( with an Ambient WS-2080), raspberry pi, and it "kinda" sometimes worked on the previous release, as long as I had a good Cumulus.ini file, which I had saved from a windows installation and copied over. I think the previous version was not 3095.. but some other build.

But now, no matter what, only any archived data gets downloaded, but all other data reads time out.

The lines you have highlighted show where MX reads data from its own data files in to memory.

The problem here is that your weather station is not responding. MX gives it a finite amount of time to respond to requests, and it is not responding in that time.
