Build 3080 Realtime FTP.

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

OK Phil. I have a new version of MX under testing at the moment. I think the real time FTP recovery issues are finally resolved (famous last words), but of course there will be lots of novel ways it can fail that I cannot test. Fingers crossed to stays running as well as it has this evening, and it's good to release tomorrow.

3081 seems to be working Ok.

Did notice 4 new files created in the CMX directory yesterday though.
All created about the time of the first 3081 start.

File names look like a GUID etc; "Global Unique Identifier"ftplog.txt.
IE 8d2bc95e-7fdc-47ee-9e6b-74873ce0c3ddftplog.txt

All contain the same data.

Code: Select all

# Dispose()
Status:   Disposing FtpClient object...
Just curious about their purpose & importance.

Cheers

Phil.

Interesting that you see a GUID prepended to the ftp log file. I've never seen that.

The file (normally without the GUID - ftplog.txt) is always created when Cumulus runs, that content is normal when FTP logging is not enabled.
