Hi
I've set a temperature spike removal of 10ºC and occasionally (in storms generally) my Davis has spikes that are recorded and not skipped more than this 10ºC spike.
Is a bug or I've to set the spike removal any other way ?? it's annoyed to have to edit logs etc etc
Thanks for this great application

Re: Temp spike removal not working
It may be that MX is deliberately ignoring spike settings for a David station, based on what I quote below for Cumulus 1. There is not enough documentation about Cumulus MX for me to check how it works specifically for Davis stations, and it might take me a while to find the relevant bit of the C# code, so I don't know. It might be a good idea for you to post a request in the Cumulus MX Development Suggestions sub-forum to see if this can be implemented.
The documentation for Cumulus 1 suggests that spike removal is intended for La Crosse and Fine Offset stations, and I found on https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Cumulus.ini#Spike_Removal it specifically says
I have to make it clear that the documentation is not always updated when functionality changes, and there is a possibility this is out of date. It seems strange to me that if the settings are ignored, people should be instructed to check filters are set to default values. I did a quick search with "Davis spike" on the Cumulus 1 sub-forum and got nothing useful. I also used the same search on the Davis sub-forum and got lots of results including viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14818&p=114549&hili ... es#p114549, confirming that Davis stations do have spikes but Cumulus 1 could not correct for them, you might want to do that search and find out more.As Cumulus does not check station type before applying any of these settings, ensure for Davis stations (these do not have spike problems) the spike removal filters are set to the defaults shown below.

Re: Temp spike removal not working
Hi thanks for answering
Indeed I have a sensirion SHT75 homemade sensor for the Davis and rarely when it rains and it's windy maybe the sensor is not very well isolated so I have (not always) these undesired spikes.
I forgot to see that information on Cumulus wiki so I'll suggest to implement that in that subforum.

Re: Temp spike removal not working
As far as I recall spike removal does not apply to Davis stations.
