I think you need to set out...
What you are trying to do.
What you have done so far.
What you are having problems with.
Then people may be able to offer some advice, we don't have much to go on at the moment.

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
Well thanks for answer first of all; what i want is to see Cumulus Dashboard in my webpage but i don't know if i need an Url in particular or a script, anyway:
1. i set on http://127.0.0.1:8998/index.html my weather station and internet settings with my host name, ftp port, username and password;
2. i wrote extra web files (realtime.txt, realtimegaugesT.txt and gaugesT.htm);
3. i install Filezilla to upload folder webfiles.
If i try to looking for in my site file of cumulus Mx, i don't see anything. I'm not a genius for internet codes or something else, maybe the problem is that

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
If all you really want that dashboard on your web site, then the best way is to follow BCJKiwi's instructions in what you can down load from viewtopic.php?p=138283#p138283. He has done all the work, he provides the files, and the instructions. As well as the dashboard, in that package you get a lot more web pages for very little work.
If you want to do your own thing, it is harder, but people can help you.
It is just a suggestion, but why not start with obeying this simple web site set up guidance, get that working and then you can customise to what you really want on your web site?
Or are you trying to follow that and stuck at some point?
There are some questions in my mind from the limited extra information you have provided.
In other words do you
EITHER have standard selected OR have those files marked for process and upload in Extra Files (i.e. local file name in first column, path to your desired web site in second column, ticks as In short, you don't just need the files locally, you need to have a way for Cumulus to process those files (put values where the web tags are). Mark produced a chart to show how processing works - see https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Customised_te ... mplates.27
Next you need to have those processed files to be uploaded, so they are available on your web site.
Either of the methods I listed will both process and upload (provided you have told Cumulus the host, password and other details that it needs to do a transfer to your web site).
Tell us what files you actually have on your web site at the moment, and then we can tell you what else you need to do.
If you want to do your own thing, it is harder, but people can help you.
Are those files now on your web site or do you need to read https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Simple_Website_setup to discover how to use Filezilla?

Ok so you have 3 templates for Cumulus to process. Are you actually asking Cumulus to process and upload these yet?

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
I saw some videos about filezilla; what i understood to do is to upload folders inside webfiles on my remote site after i added my hostname, password, etc., correct me if it's not correct. I use both, so i've selected Web/Ftp settings with autoupdate and also extraweb files, so maybe an incorrect thing was that. On my website, if i look for an url of Cumulus, I can't find anything

Do you have a link to your site? That will make problem solving a bit easier.

Not sure what you mean by this " On my website, if i look for an url of Cumulus, I can't find anything", as Cumulus, apart from your data you send to the website, doesn't exist on your website.
CumulusMX's Administration interface exists on your PC that is either a separate PC on your network or is actually running on the PC you are using.
In the case of it running on the PC you are using click on your browser to load it and in the URL type http://localhost:8998/ and the admin panel will appear.

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
I am not familiar with Altervisa, however for a Cumulus website you need to:
1. Have a place on your website for the Cumulus webfiles, such as your root https://meteomarmilla.altervista.org/ or create a subfolder for example https://meteomarmilla.altervista.org/weather
2. FTP (suggest using Filezilla) the content of the CumulusMX\webfiles to that website place
3. Enter the website information in the Settings Web/FTP and Web/FTP settings and enabling the uploads.
Then after Cumulus does its normal updates and if Altervista works in the usual manner, your standard Cumulus website should then be https://meteomarmilla.altervista.org/index.htm or the example https://meteomarmilla.altervista.org/weather/index.htm
If you wanted a different website then there are other templates you can install, and one looks much the same as your local dashboard www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/index.php
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
@maxarz:
I looked at the site and I saw it is a Wordpress site. I am not sure what you want to accomplish, but I think it is best to ask the guys from Altervista how to accomplish that what you want. Ask a basic course of website setup in their environment, ask how to setup a website independent of Wordpress, with its own root. Wordpress can go together with Cumulus (side by side), but you definitely need to know what you want and what you are doing.
I am not sure the site setup currently is what you need. The setup of cumulus requires a webspace which is not occupied by Wordpress. And when you have Wordpress and Cumulus installed side by side then still it is impossible - I think - to get the cumulus dashboard on a Wordpress page.

You've reason, if I usa Altersito I can see my data and I can find the file index.htm. But isn't there a way to use Cumulus MX with Wordpress in Alterblog?HansR wrote: ↑Fri 01 May 2020 7:20 pm @maxarz:

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
I don't know how Alterblog functions, I assume it is standard Wordpress. No doubt you could program Wordpress in a way that you can create a page which can display all or parts of the Cumulus data. But to show the management interface in Wordpress I think is not doable and in general, a website beside Worpress requires separation of the two. Both Wordpress and a Cumulus website have their own index files and should be treated as separate.
To actually make a Wordpress page with Cumulus data in it requires programming (either PHP/webtags or your own Wordpress plugin or other techniques).
Whatever you choose, it would not be creating one of the general templates and it would not be standard handling of Cumulus data.
I don't think you will find a lot of support here to do what you want: it is quite a bit off track and you're probably on your own. If you go that way you can always ask specific questions but it is not the forums task - unless somebody volunteers to go with you - to embark on a Wordpress/Cumulus integration. I do not know of any similar project within the Cumulus community but there is a meteo plugin for Wordpress which also takes CumulusMX realtime.txt.
So, you could look at Pierre Lannoy's Wordpress Weather station which does accept realtime.txt as input. I have this plugin on my own Wordpress blog (I don't know why it always displays the value of 19 aug 2019) but I don't do much with it so can't help you. It has good support on Wordpress though. It may be an example for you or you can simply use it.

Re: Setup for Altervista webpage
Not quite true there are a few people who have set up a website in WordPress.
Here is one viewtopic.php?p=125877#p125877
The site is quite good and contains all the elements of a CumulusMX website https://www.aweathermoment.com/pws/glenwood/ but it is hand built by the author.
But I think it is quite complicated and requires some programming knowledge.
