Different max temperatures on same day!

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Different max temperatures on same day!

Post by Vegit8 »

Running build 3070 running on a Mac, Using a Davis WLL.
On my friends site https://www.charlesdowding.co.uk/weather/yesterday.htm
There are different max temperatures visible for yesterday.
On the charts (trends) page the max value on the plot is 23.5 at 15:00
Bizarrely on the ‘yesterday’ page the max temperature is shown as being 20.3 at 15.01

How can this be!

Looking at the charts page on your friend's site it looks as if there was a data interruption from 2043 yesterday until 0438 today. This period includes the midnight rollover. It looks as if the rollover didn't happen properly. This is backed up by the "Daily Temperature" chart not showing data for the 8th. Cumulus needs to be stopped, then the daily backup from the start of the 8th should be copied into the "data" folder. Then restart Cumulus. That process will re-read data from the station from the start of the 8th, and will make the rollover at midnight 8th/9th happen correctly.
