I had a slight issue on the mini PC which runs CMX. I had to restart CMX, when it loaded, it started trying to download archive data which went on and on, and then repeated again. I waited until it all finished, but then noticed my Davis console had frozen - stuck on 'R' it wouldn't stop. I closed CMX and the console went back to normal. I opened CMX once again, and it went through the same process of downloading old archive data. I have no idea why as the station runs 24/7 and I have never had an issue with old data.

Re: Old Archive Data
As you say, it it downloading the entire logger contents from the start. This is because the logger does not records Cumulus is asking for. When dumping the entire contents it stops short of the records needed.
First thought - was the clock on the console correct? The hour changed on Sunday, is the console set for automatic DST?
The log shows that Cumulus set the console time when it started up, but do you have Cumulus setting the time at 2am or later?

Re: Old Archive Data
Hi Mark
It could well have been down to the clock settings..
DST is set to on, on the console. CMX is set to 2am for the clock sync, but I noticed that my PC time moved forward an hour at 1am, so the console and PC were out of sync by an hour. I reckon that's what the problem was?!
