Any way to get the value days since 30 Dec 1899
Sorry for asking - found it in Build 1055 - will give it a testing..
Many thanks
joe
Hello
I am using html parsing from cumulus to create a file with weather date for my allsky cam. All is working fine, except the times tamp. The software is awaiting the days since 30 Dec 1899. You can see the problem on the right top corner.

Any ideas how I can solve this?
Many thanks and greetings from Switzerland.

I can't think of any way you could get that directly from Cumulus. But it's a common way of storing dates and times, and it's how they are stored internally in Cumulus. So it would be very easy to provide a web tag giving the current date/time in that format.

Hi Steve
Thanks for the quick response. That would be great if I could just replace the field in the file with a cumulus web tag.
Please let me know, when you have a version or a way for me to test it...
Many thanks

If you can use a bit of javascript on your page, then you could use something like
var daysSince1899 = (new Date() - new Date(1899, 11, 30)) / (24 * 60 * 60 * 1000);
var daysSince1899 = (new Date() - new Date(1899, 11, 30)) / (24 * 60 * 60 * 1000);

Re: Any way to get the value days since 30 Dec 1899
Hi Mark
No, that is not possible. The SW is awaiting a text file, already filled with the values. That's also the reason why I have to let cumulus create this file with content.
Let's see, what Steve can do
It's snowing the whole day and I would like to test the allsky cam
So I have time to do some more testing and SW optimizing
Thanks for your Tip and Greetings from Switzerland

I am interested in the software you are using for the all sky cam to produce the overlay. I have a camera I intended to set up (QHY5) and a cheap fisheye lens but never found the time to really get it going.

The SW only supports TIS (The Imaging Source) Cameras...

Yes it does.
The 1899 base date is used by spreadsheets - I believe due to an error in the early days in thinking 1900 was a leap year, so they had to take 1 day off the normal 1900 base date to compensate when the error was discovered
