I have just downloaded the latest and setup a test web page but I am not getting a realtime.txt file uploaded despite ticking the box and setting a 20 second interval. Any ideas as to what I've done wrong?
Stuart

Re: Realtime not working
Probably nothing - its probably just not working
There should be a permanent ftp connection - can you do a netstat or whatever and see if it's there? I assume the 'normal' ftp is working OK?
Is the realtime.txt file being generated on your PC?
It's a bit tricky to diagnose as I don't yet have much in the way of diagnostics for the realtime ftp. I'll have to build you a version with some logging turned on. I really should get around to making it switch on and offable.

Re: Realtime not working
Very odd. Have you tried stopping Cumulus and starting it again? If that doesn't work, could you turn on the debug log, run for 5 minutes then send me the debug.log file, please?

Re: Realtime not working
Stopping and starting Cumulus has got it working now.... thanks Steve.
As an aside should I see a window open when it downloads the data from the logger, or does that happen under the covers?
Stuart
PS. you can see the page here

Re: Realtime not working
It looks like that's a bug. It doesn't appear to start the timer until the restart.broadstairs wrote:Stopping and starting Cumulus has got it working now.... thanks Steve.
You should see a message at the left hand end of the status bar (with a %age indicator for VP/VP2) - but note that this only happens at start-up, the rest of the time it doesn't need to download the logger data.As an aside should I see a window open when it downloads the data from the logger, or does that happen under the covers?
