Year passing?

Post by Spider-Vice »

So it's been new year here ( :D ), but Cumulus still counts the rain of last year in "This Year". Is this normal or?

If you use a midnight 'rollover', it should have changed to zero for this year. I've just started up Cumulus on my test system which uses a midnight rollover and it has reset the annual rainfall to zero, so I don't know why it wouldn't have done for yours.

I do use a midnight rollover and I started my records in October, it's not a full year, so I find this odd :o

I didn't have my midnight-based test system running at midnight (my 'live' system uses an 0900 rollover) but as far as I am aware the annual rainfall reset has not been an issue in the eight years for which Cumulus has been available.

You've set a rain season start of October:

31-12-2011 16:25:54.061 : Getting rain totals, rain season start = 10

Steve, I have my rain season set (in the VP2 console) to start in October - does that mean that Cumulus will still reset the amount of rain at the beginning of the year? Looking at Cumulus right now it appears that the rain for the year (which started in October) has not be reset to zero... 8-)

Cumulus resets its annual rain total at the start of the month that is configured in Cumulus (default January).

Oops, I had forgotten about that 'Rainfall season start' setting...

Mine is indeed set for October (as is the VP2 console).

Thank you for the prompt reply. I thought you would sleep longer ... or at least take the rest of your 'anniversary' day off... :D

Well... we didn't get up until midday, I think that was long enough.

That was yesterday, even though I posted today (just).
