Min Temp and rainfall is a day 'out'

Post by sunray24 »

In Australia
Minimum temp is recorded for the 24hrs to 9am and booked against the day it is read on.
Cumulus records it for the previous day.
eg: Australia records min temp for 24hrs to 9am on 20th then books it on the 20th
Cumulus records min temp for 24hrs to 9am on the 20th then books against the 19th
Same goes with the rainfall in Australia.

Any ideas how I can get around this on Cumulus.
As my rainfall and Min temps are a day out against the Bureau of Meteorology records.

I could set the cutoff to midnight to get around the min temp issue but that throws my rainfall data out (as it is recorded for 24hrs to 9am)

Yes, I'm afraid Cumulus doesn't cater for the Australian rules about the day to which a particular item is allocated, it uses the UK system (but even then there are more complicated UK rules that it doesn't cater for). There are other rules in other parts of the world that it doesn't know about, too. Maybe one day.

I can't think of anything to suggest other than some sort of manipulation of the Cumulus files into a separate database, changing the dates.
