different readings

Post by hurring »

Hi All
I have finally got a new weather station with solar recharge batteries for the roof unit. I have set up Cumulus 1.9. I have noticed I am getting high rain reading on the records page but on the main page where it shows monthly totals it is only 1.2 mm. Any ideas what is causing this? I also got high All Time High Temp and a very low All Time low temp. Can I delete these two records only so it starts again?
I hope this makes sense. I have added two screen shots.
cheers
Adrian

You have possibly had a corrupt data packet sent to the station so you will need to edit your data files to clear them, or roll back to an earlier Cumuls backup and force it to re-read the console data.

Let us know if you are not sure how to do this.

Hi David,
I have no old data, I deleted the lot as my old station had a faulty barometer so I decided to start fresh. I have no idea how to clear this data any help would be great.
Thanks
Adrian

Have a look for a folder called "backup" under the Cumulus folder. Inside there you should find more subfolders; look for one which is dated/timed prior to your faulty data. If you find one....

Close down Cumulus
copy all the files in the folder you identified as being earlier than the error. (Do not copy the folder itself, but all the files).
Paste those files into the Cumulus folder -- say Yes to over write
Restart Cumulus
It will re-read all the data from the console, and hopefully there will be no errors in the data.

If you deleted everything it may be you do not have any backup folders!
