False rainfall record
Can someone help a novice? I have my weather station (WH1081) working correctly and relaying the data to the web site http://www.congresburyweather.org/index.htm. But on the 2nd September there occurred a totally false rainfall record. We had a small amount of rain but certainly not the 7.86ins for the day that is shown in Cumulus. How can I correct the data as it will eventually show as false records on the web site?

Re: False rainfall record
It's a common problem with Fine Offset stations. There are instructions for fixing false rainfall data in the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_sta ... it_to_zero
As yours is historical (not today) you won't need to do all of that, just correct sep10log.txt and dayfile.txt, and your all-time records. You can use alltimelog.txt to find out what your previous all-time records were before the spurious rain affected them.
Make sure you do any edits with Cumulus stopped. The toolbox is useful for editing the data logs. The formats of the log files are in the wiki.
