Year 2021 Missing on drop down menu

Post by Paul C »

Hi

Every month I check the monthly readings, Via VIEW/This Month - I have noticed that for Jan and now Feb 2021, the year 2021 is missing, as if its stopped at 2020.

Any suggestions on how to view the monthly report for Feb 2021 please

Hi Paul_C,
Looks like you have not done the Cumulus1 patch update. Look under Legacy releases for the patch download https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Software

Enjoy,

Looks like the same problem in Cumulus 1 which caused the NOAa reports to stop at 2020 but as the Wiki says https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Software#Cumulus_1 there is no fix for this. And since Cumulus 1 is not being developed there may never be unless some kind soul has a go at fixing the .exe file, since there is no source code available to amend.

Edit: Paul posted before me but the patch he recommends I believe ONLY fixes NOAA reports.

Hi David,
After I installed the patches for Cumulus1 all the pulldowns go to 2030 including NOAA, This month, Year, Select-a-Graph, etc.

Enjoy,
Paul

There was an initial Patch1, and then Patch2 was provided some time latter, and after downloading, just replacing the unzipped Cumulus.exe was all it took and worked in my old Acer Windows8.

Last year I had temporarily installed Cumulus1 v1.9.4-b1099 on a newer Windows10 PC and then updated with patch2 and that worked fine. I presume the latest Patch2 includes whatever was in patch1 and Mark would know.

Enjoy,
Paul

Patch 2 just added some more years to a couple of drop downs that got missed in patch 1.

There is no change to the program itself (I don't have the source code) just the GUI elements, luckily the main code takes whatever year the GUI provides.

When you installed the patch did you just replace the .exe file, and leave all the other files in place?

So you unzipped the patch download, copied the exe file into your existing install and then double-clicked it? Sorry for all the questions but it does seem as if the exe is being run from a place where it can't access other components that it depends on.
