Windows 10 update problem

Post by Paragon »

After the update, Cumulus will start and immediately pops up the message shown in Steve's post about it - the date format problem.

I have reset the date and time formats. The list separator is still a comma. Cumulus does the same thing.

I have looked in the diags files from before and after the update. Here are the parts on date & time formats:
Before update:
Short date format: 16/06/2016
16/06/2016 09:28:51.198 : Short date format: 16/06/2016
16/06/2016 09:28:51.198 : Long date format: Thursday, 16 June 2016
16/06/2016 09:28:51.198 : Short time format: 9:28 a.m.
16/06/2016 09:28:51.198 : Long time format: 9:28:51 a.m.
16/06/2016 09:28:51.198 : VarToDateTime is using this format to convert dates: d/MM/yyyy

After update:
23/06/2016 13:33:16.454 : Short date format: 23/06/2016
23/06/2016 13:33:16.454 : Long date format: Thursday, 23 June 2016
23/06/2016 13:33:16.454 : Short time format: 1:33 PM
23/06/2016 13:33:16.454 : Long time format: 1:33:16 PM
23/06/2016 13:33:16.454 : VarToDateTime is using this format to convert dates: d/MM/yyyy

The only difference I can see is that it is PM now rather than p.m. Will that upset Cumulus? I can't find a region that uses p.m. and there is no custom format any more.

I am running v. 1.9.4 build 1098 in C:\Cumulus. (That is another problem. Windows backup didn't back that up for me before the update.) It is Windows 10 Home.

It's the Windows system routines that are upset, they no longer recognise your time format because of the change to the am/pm indicator. There's a post in this thread - https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... 2&p=110617 - which tells you how to access the settings to change the am/pm setting back to what it was before the upgrade.
