1.8.2 beta - bang

I had a crash this afternoon, 3 hours after updating to the newest beta.

The previous beta had been running without any errors for since I updated to it Oct 13th.

Note that I don't shutdown the application normally.

This isn't anything I've changed in the latest beta. However, it looks like it's something to do with threading that I've been getting away with until now. I'll have to work out a fix.

I've uploaded a new version of the beta. I've changed the way I read the VP data to avoid the crash. There may be side effects of the change, so watch out. It seems to be working OK for me so far.

have noticed 2 graphs (temp_min/max and wind) NOT displaying in Cumulus pages on my web site although ...

1. all graphs display in Cumulus locally
2. all the other graphs are good on web site

not sure if this is a beta issue but am sure they all displayed on 'some' other versions !

I started using the newest beta this morning.

I just noticed that I am getting phantom rain that only Cumulus is seeing. I thought perhaps my wife was watering the weather station again (been an occurrence in the past), but see that she is not home yet and WD and the other apps sharing the same data don't see any rain at all.

Not sure what if anything you want to look at.

I am reverting back to the Oct 13th Beta version.

BTW... I was looking at the log to see about removing the rain.

I know what it is now... I made an adjustment to offsets.... It should not have added anything to 0 rain though.

I'm back with the newest beta as I don't think any of the versions are different on this.

Interesting... what multiplier did you use to get that effect?

Edit: Ah, hold on... 1.1

I just multiply the current total by the multiplier, so as soon as you set a multiplier, you get an instant rainfall of (in this case) 10% of the total rainfall.

How do I get rid of the rain?

I removed it from the oct log.
I removed it from the today.ini
I reset it in the all time logs... but the station still reports 8.91" of rain today and for the month.

I should have 0.01" for the month only (on the 4th).

figured it out. Needed to change the cumulus.ini file too.

I don't understand what you changed in cumulus.ini to fix it, there are no weather data in there. The fix is to put the Start= figure in today.ini back to what it was, 8.91 is the correct value I think.
