'full stop' decimal points and comma list separator
I adopted this when I started with "FreeWX" (the first weather software i used From Andy Keir an Australian developper).
In France the list separator is theoretically ";" and ',' for the decimal point but at the very beginning FreeWX did not use the locale settings!
Since then i kept this data format :D

Hi Steve,
I see you already have a bunch of VP2 with solar and UV volunteers but if you need another I would be willing. I run windows 7 pro with a dual processor machine, 4 gig ram as well as a VP2 with solar, UV and 24 hr fars.

Take Care,
Mike

Steve
happy to volunteer as a simple setup (smartweather wh2080, Win7.1) but technical admin on site (me)
We did have a UV one but the UV tx kept blasting out the other rain sensors used as backup :groan: ;
then my SO plugged the battery in the wrong way (fitted indoors feeding the external sensor as it's way up on the roof)
and it went AWOL :bash:

I would like to be considered as a beta tester. I have a Davis Vantage Pro2, and will be running on GNU/Linux (most probably Centos 7 dist).

Perhaps this thread should have asked "who would not like to be considered as a beta tester?"

As the main platform changes appear to be Mono and Linux support (plus a bunch of other stuff!) I would hazard a guess at:-
Mono 'niX

I just thought that "MX" sounded good. I did have a meaning for it in the back of my mind, though, and Brian's guess is close.

Status report: I'm having a problem with the Twitter code on my Pi (it works fine on Windows) but everything else seems to work OK on the Pi. I'll try to resolve that today (it's a problem with loading the required libraries) and also give it a try on my Mac. If I can't resolve it quickly I'll probably start the beta trial in the next couple of days with Twitter support as a known issue on non-Windows systems for now.

Great news!

I'd love to be a beta tester.
Equipment: Raspberry Pi mode B or B+, Fine Offset 1081. I can even run it in parallel with the existing Cumulus setup on a second FO 1081.

Hi Steve,

great work thanks - if you need more beta testers, i would like to give back some time/ernergy.

I could test on win7, opensuse and on raspberry b with an old fine offset 1080.
