Just received my Raspberry Pi 2 so want to try and get my head around it and Linux with my VP2. I don't think I'm in a position to give much help in testing as I need to learn Linux, but if you are still happy to add me to the list, I'd be grateful when you get chance Steve? If not, no probs. Is it still at the stage of 90-95% implementation?
Many thanks.

Although I'm sure you have plenty of testers, I would like to be added to the list as well. I have 2 VP's, one running on Win7 64-bit and the other on a windows 8 HP all-in-one touchscreen computer, which may be a little more interesting as it has been known to act strangely with some software. Thanks Steve. I'll be sure to send a donation your way in the near future. We appreciate all your hard work!

Steve,

You can take me off the list of potential beta testers, thanks.

After five days of struggling with Linux Mint on my new PC, I was unable to get several critical bits of hardware and (Windows) software working under Linux, so I've given up and ordered Windoze 7 Pro. So I'll just continue with Cumulus 2 once I've received and installed Win7.

But keep up the good work - I believe Linux deserves much more support from manufacturers (both hardware and software). It was essentially lack of that support that killed my attempt to switch. :(

You are going to have to wait until Steve gets back (away until Sunday night I think he said) to let you have access to the Cumulus MX Beta forum.

Steve,

I can test it on Raspberry Pi, Windows 10 preview, and I have tried many Linux distributions in the past. I can also try it on some of the Linuxes.

Thanks.

Can I test MX for Linux please? I have a Raspberry Pi on its way and ultimately want to run it on that. Will be using a Linux virtual machine until then.

Hi Steve, could I please be considered for beta testing too please? I'm keen to see if I can get it up and running on my Synology DS214Play.

Many thanks

Someone has been trying it on a Synology without much luck, but that was with a station type that Cumulus drives directly by USB, and it seems that not all of the required device drivers are available. That may not be an issue with a Davis station, and I was considering such a setup myself to replace my Windows server. I still may do that but for now, I'm going to give a Raspberry Pi2 a go to see how viable that is for running Cumulus and acting as a media/file/backup server.

I'm in the middle of some significant changes in MX, so I'll add some more beta testers after I've made the next build available.
