Hi,
after trying cumulous in a couple of laptops (w7 & 8) I wanted to run on a netbook (Asus Eepc) but although it installs fine, on startup generates a disater message and bug report (attached).
best regards
Ian

Re: Eepc uncooperative variant
Windows can't interpret the date in today.ini. Did you copy the data over from another PC? If so, it's likely that the date format is different on this PC, so this instance of Windows doesn't recognise it as a date.
If you can't see what the problem is, zip up the diags folder and attach it, together with the today.ini file.

Ok now.
got rid of the old data (as you suspected) and fired up no problems.
Is all the old data unusable or is it one file in particular causing the upset?

The today.ini file (which is easily corrected) and all of the .ini files holding all-time etc records. They can all be edited, but the easiest approach, and the one people usually take, would have been to change the Windows date format setting to match the one you were using before on the other PC.

Yes, see what you mean and after doing it all fine (of course)!
The old/new netbook had been reset and I hadn't thought of that aspect as it was already up and running when I got it.
Put my old data back in and all good.
Thanks for the (very) quick reply and support.
Best regards
