Hi Steve - and others,
When I recently lost contact with my Watson W8681 station, I reset Cumulus (fortunately having saved copies of the C Drive Cumulus folders and reports).
But then, when I restarted everything, I found that my pressure reading was somewhat too high - around 4.2 mbs too high.
So I reset the calibration - but the next time Cumulus read it's data, an error message came up telling me that Cumulus had ignored my offset and had reverted to it's own reading.
So I left it for a week (having plenty of more important things to do!) but I've come back to it today.
And today, I've been successfully able to recalibrate my display.
Was that just a glitch, or is there some limitation as to how much offset can be calibrated?

Re: Pressure Callibration
Cumulus ignores the offset that it gets from the station if it results in a clearly invalid sea-level pressure, less than 900 mb or greater than 1200 mb. The cause can be a corrupted memory location in the station, or perhaps just a bad reading at start up.

Re: Pressure Callibration
Thanks for that Steve,
Makes me wonder if perhaps I missed a decimal point or something.
Anyway, thanks for clarifying that -I'll know better next time.
Cheers
Chris
