Depends

The log files (monthly, dayfile) will use the defined DP's. The ini (alltime, today etc) files will use the full 17 DP's.

and how do you disable the global parameter?

You can't, would you want all your data shown to 17 decimal places? It just that it is now exposed for you to change if you wish.
