Add solar radiation and UV high (and sunshine hours) to console Records

Post by Gyvate »

solar radiation and solar (sunshine) hours are shown in the now and today/yesterday console view and in the charts but not in the high/low history (monthly/yearly/all time Records).
Request to add these observations (and also UV) to the Records (high/low - of here only high ;) ).
UV only shows on the dashboard and charts so far, not on the now, today/yesterday, Records tab.
Please consider to add.

spike problem

There may be a good practical reason not to include the highest momentary values for either solar or UV in record accounting.

Reflections off clouds that are near the direct path from the sun to the sensor mean that both of these sensors log values for short periods of time that are substantially above the cloudless value.

in principle you can apply this reasoning to almost any sensor, especially wind.
That's why one usually defines thresholds outside which abnormally high observations are discarded.
You can leave it to the user to correct obviously wrong peaks in the database.
But taking the potential peaks as a reason for not admitting them to high/low records I find is imo too far-fetched.
Interestingly do the other popular weather software like weewx, WeatherDisplay, Meteobridge not discard these sensors from the high/low tables, but allow to define thresholds.
