Hi Brian,

I can offer hosting on the Cumulus Wiki for downloads if you like. I'd be willing to split the maintenance for the code with Simon (or other interested folks).

Let me know...
Best regards,
Ken

Hello Ken

i am open to any solution if the template wants to be used . dont misunderstand anything or assume I have really wanted to step back from web design stuff for a very long time and I just want to chase the weather now not code it anymore . Where cumulus is concerned its probably most stablest in terms data output structure as it never changes . the maintenance side is really just css but if you have no plans or ideas to redesign then its pretty much job done apart from when you dabble in the languages then its becomes a bit of nightmare to keep everything aligned due to word length variations between languages ,it has always been primarily designed with the english languages words .

so i have uploaded my final version of this evening you will see some small changes compared to this mornings in rain, indoor modules.if you want to grab it and park it somewhere then please feel free to go ahead .where support is needed remains the problem going forward . Im due for an arm operation next week that will render me useless as where computers are concerned for a few weeks and typing with hand not my good hand would be painstakingly slow and probably wear out the backspace key :-)

all in all im pretty open minded on how you do it and do what suits you best ..

this is what it looks like as of this evening....brian

Thanks, Brian, and good luck/speedy recovery from your operation!

I'll set up a new Cumulus Wiki page about your software (and include the listing of other versions/supporters in the page). The software will be downloadable from the Wiki and I'll work with Simon/Paul about coordinating updates going forward.

Thanks for all you've done with your great template!

Best regards,
Ken

no problem I'm told ill be like a new man in a few weeks (Steve Austin) :-)

i think you will find most things ok unlike the weather display version which Wim has done a great job getting where it is but it was a very old 2017 unfinished version passed on to him and was never actually complete .the cumulus version in recent months has benefited from the same identical css structure to the meteobridge version so its been able to be updated quite easily when ideas popped into my head..anyway much appreciated and I hope others will show there appreciation to you..brian..

Brian.

LinksysInfo.org's hosting company was under attack over christmas, that why you may have been affected.

Since Mark had set up a GitHub repository for the Cumulus MX software, I decided to set up one for the Cumulus Home Weather Station too :)

It's still a work in progress (adding the README.md as we speak). This way, we can easily handle collaboration with updates to the code base over time.

https://github.com/ktrue/CU-HWS for the repository. Paul/Simon.. please feel free to 'watch' and join so updates can be coordinated.

Whew, got the README.md file updated in the new repository at https://github.com/ktrue/CU-HWS along with updates to the Cumulus Wiki page at https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/a/HomeW ... onTemplate

We'll use the GitHub repository for maintenance and distribution.

Best regards,
Ken

How does one participate or use GitHUB  do I just sign up, then follow directions and any quick pointers?

Hope to enjoy,
Paul

You don't have to do anything if you just want to read and download. You only need an account if you wish to contribute changes, even then updated can be done manually by just sending the author the updates.
