how to upgrade cumulus mx

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

You just need to copy and paste the files you require.

In my case, after downloading a new version and unzipping it to the desktop, I delete all folders from it apart from the interface one. I then copy and paste all of the other files in the main root to C:\CumulusMX\ directory and overwrite them. including the interface folder.

Make a backup of your entire CumulusMX folder just in case.

Your config settings will stay the same, because the new downloaded version doesn't contain the cumulus.ini file.

There is nothing in the zip files that will overwrite any of your data or configuration. It is safe to just overwrite the current contents of your CumulusMX folder (after making a backup of course).

Having skipped the 2 previous updates (3.2.1 and 3.2.2) can I update the same to 3.2.3 or do I have to do the other 2 updates as well? :?:

There is the exception for those who have made their own modifications to the templates in the \web folder.

But as mentioned, a backup should be an essential.
\CumulusMX - Copy (6) took about 15 seconds to create earlier today.

in each update there are also previous updates? Even without having done it in chronology. It could happen that if you don't always connect to the forum someone can escape ....

Each release is complete - and is not dependent on previous releases.

One of the other standard files that I have changed is /interface/js/extrawebfiles.js

Changed to display 20 lines of Extra Webfiles as discussed in this thread.

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17477&p=134765&hil ... es#p134765

Has that change made it to the standard release as mention in the last post?
