Clear existing weather data to start again at new location

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Clear existing weather data to start again at new location

Post by martinu »

I've had CumulusMX working fine on my Raspberry Pi. I've now moved house to a new location.

What's the best way to clear all the existing weather data (including record high/low values) to start again? Is it as simple as stopping Cumulus, emptying (or deleting) the .ini files in ~/CumulusMX/data, and then starting Cumulus again? I'll obviously need to go to the Settings page on the localhost:8998 site to change details like location name and lat/long/altitude.

I looked to see if it was a FAQ, but there was no sensible match on "clear data" or "reset data".
