New Android Application

Hello, everybody!

My name is Giorgio Bertolotti, I'm a 20 year old software developer.
Recently a friend of mine (who uses Cumulus software to monitor his PWS) told me that the application he used to see the data produced by his PWS was no longer supported and was not updated since 2013, so he asked me if I could develop a new one. And that's why I'm opening this topic.
The application is only available on Google Play Store (and for the moment I'm not planning to release it for iOS) and this is the link the download page.
Please note that the application only provides some basic features and is still under development (so there may be bugs).
NB: To monitor the data of your PWS you have to insert a source in the app settings, it can be either the link of the realtime.txt file (from Cumulus MX) or the link of realtime.xml (from Cumulus 1.x).

As I said before the idea of the app comes from a friend of mine, so I don't actually have a PWS and I'm not even a great expert in the field, so if you download and try the app please give me feedback so that I can improve the features and fix any problems.
If you have any suggestions do not hesitate to respond to this topic or if you prefer you can contact me via e-mail (giorgiobertol@gmail.com).

Thank you so much for reading this article and have a nice day!

Ops right, I should've mentioned you have to put the link to realtime.txt file to see the data, this is because someone may want to be able to see the data from realtime.xml (from Cumulus 1.x) version.
Sorry for the inconvenient, I'll edit the original post!

Barely able to read the text on my Galaxy S10. Also, moon and sun data doesn't appear for me.

Hey dazza, yes, the widget just shows the temperature, you can resize it to adjust the text size, do you suggest to show any other data?

I'm using Android version 8.1
My link is www.shapweather.co.uk/cumulus/realtime.txt
I would like to see Rainfall, Windspeed and Barometric pressure added to the widget :D

I must be misunderstanding...

I do + add
from Add new source I enter KomokaWeather for Source name, for URL I enter www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/realtime.txt
then press Add and gets back to Generic settings screen with the only options being the edit pencil icon and the trash bucket icon.

What/how to proceed?

Enjoy,
Paul

Hello Paul!
after you've added a new source you just have to close the settings page and select the source you just added from the dropdown menu at top left
let me know if it works!

Yes that works, thank you. Maybe I wasn't patient enough!

I have links to realtime.txt in Cumulus 1 and CumulusMX.

And as mentioned by others, other than the clear temp, it is very difficult to read the other faint text.

Regards,
Paul
