Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
Using windows 10 how do you set MX to auto start on boot? Also when you shutdown windows do you need to stop MX?
Can MX data folder be moved back to cumulus 1.9.4 if need be?
Thanks

Re: Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
Hi David
To run CMX at startup, I did this:
Open the 'Run' dialog Windows key + R
Type in shell:common startup
A folder will open. I created a shortcut of CMX to the desktop, then copied it over to the startup folder.
re closing CMX, it is wise to do Ctrl+C rather than just shutdown Windows or clicking the 'x' as it properly terminates the connection between the station and CMX.

Re: Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
Are you just making a shortcut to the .exe of MX?
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
Thanks that worked.
How do you know when MX has updated to WeatherUnderground or pulling info from my VP2 or sending info to my web site, in the old cumulus it way say in the left hand corner.
Can you customize the default page you see in MX?
BTW when i try a search here it always errors out.
Thanks again for the help!

What were your search terms? I just searched for "customise page" in the MX forum and it returned five hits, no errors.

Re: Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
I am trying to setup CumulusMX after using Cumulus1 successfully in Win10. Automatic startup at boot just does not seem to work. I added the shortcut to Startup menu, and I can see CumulusMX in TaskManager StartUp list as Enabled, but still nothing happens when I start my computer. When I start CumulusMX manually everything works fine.

Re: Auto Start MX and a few simple ?
Hi, found already the answer from here: https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/a/Cumulus_MX . After setting netsh I did not have to run it as Administrator anymore, and then also auto start was working.
