Hi
I've noticed (I don't know since exactly because I have no notice 'til now) that Cumulus MX is not downloading data from Davis datalogger when I restart PC and miss a couple of minutes or so (or more if it takes more time).
When I see monthly datalog (or charts) miss these entries. I have VVP with MX through a Virtual serial port (not TCP/IP) and WL or WD downloads all the data without problem.
Do I miss some configuration in Cumulus.ini or something??
Best regards

Re: Cumulus MX not downloading data from datalogger through VVP
Are you using VSPE (or equivalent) for doing the serial-port null modem connections? How are your port pairs set up?
On my setup, I have VirtualVP reading COM2 for the Davis VP1 serial connection.
VSPE establishes the following null-modem port pairs:
COM5:COM15
COM6:COM16
COM7:COM17
COM8:COM19
Then VirtualVP uses
COM15
COM16
COM17
COM18
for the 4 COM ports. Weather software can then connect on
COM5
COM6
COM7
COM8

Re: Cumulus MX not downloading data from datalogger through VVP
I'm using com0com driver for W10 x64
The pairs are well created and currently VVP is sending data to WD in Virtual console1 and to MX in Virtual console2 without any problems. The issue is just downloading data when firstly MX connects to VVP.
