NOAA reports stopped
My last monthly NOAA report was a month ago - 7 Jan 2019. No relevant setting has been changed - well intentionally! I would be grateful for clues to troubleshooting this.

Re: NOAA reports stopped
Are you saying there are no reports in the CumulusMX\Reports folder?

Re: NOAA reports stopped
The last monthly report with data is NOAAMO0119.txt (has entries for days 1-7 only) and a yearly report NOAAYR2019.txt has the summary for January but only covering the first 7 days. Both files have file dates indicating they were last modified at the end of the seventh day (actually 9 am on the 8th). There are three other files for this year - NOAAMO0119.txttmp, NOAAMO0219.txttmp and NOAAYR2019.txttmp - all empty.

Your computer isn't sleeping/hiberating at night is it?

No. RPi. My realtime table is complete. This has not missed a beat for a couple of years. I did install two or three MX updates in early January - I hadn't updated since Steve's last build; that was 3043 I think? Maybe I messed something up during that process?

Re: NOAA reports stopped
Here is a zip with the MXdiags and ftp log (I have no skills in reading these tea leaves), and the last 3 months of NOAA reports (Dec 2018 - Feb 2019). It covers the daily rollover that has just occurred at 9 am local time.

Re: NOAA reports stopped
It is logging an error...
That path looks correct as cumulus is running from...
/home/pi/CumulusMX/CumulusMX.exe
I'd delete all those .txttmp files in the Reports folder though. They shouldn't be there.
You don't have the reports added to the extra files list with processing ticked as well do you?
Code: Select all
2019-02-09 09:00:02.490 Saving monthly report as Reports/NOAAMO0219.txt

Re: NOAA reports stopped
I think that the .txttmp files are there because you have rename on upload set. I had problems with that setting in the past, and resolved them by switching it off.

Re: NOAA reports stopped
The rename should only create tmp files on the remote server. Local tmp files are created when a file is processed before upload.
As the NOAA files are written directly to their correct filename locally, I'm assuming they have been added to the additional file list with processing enabled.
The NOAA files have their own FTP load mechanism and I'm wondering if the manual upload is interfering with their creation.

Re: NOAA reports stopped
Solved - thanks to your help. The Reports folder had a subtle change in its name – must have occurred during the time I was backing up and restoring data files when installing one of the new builds in early January. I’m sorry to have bothered you with this. At least I have started the journey to understanding the log files.
