Twitter update not working right

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Something has changed and it isn't uploading like it was used to be once every 65 mins , but it isn't doing it now I've restarted and same issue.

Twitter are now enforcing their tweet limits more rigorously - both on a per-user and a per-application basis. As all our Cumulus tweets come from the same application, then the limit is reached easily.
I am looking at putting a script together to try and get around the per-application limit. Their API is quite easy to follow so it shouldn't take too much effort.

Any update?

I did have twitter working fine, but now we seem to be hitting the limit a lot.

Has anyone applied for a developer account to get the APi limit elevated ?

I guess this hasnt had a fix yet, I take it it isnt as easy as getting your own Keys/Token.

Almost. You set up a Twitter developer account through which you receive your own tokens. Then you download a script that uses the Twitter API to publish your tweets.
