HI all,
one of my fine offset stations (WH1080) has died and I have been noticing a number of new models on the fine offset website. I am interested in the WT2310 model http://www.foshk.com/Weather_Professional/WT2310.html but it uses weathersmart software rather than easy weather. I'm trying to determine whether this will operate with CumulusMX. Has anyone had any experience with these units?

Cheers
Steve

It is not in the supported list of stations in the wiki http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Supported_Devices so you will not be able to directly link it to Cumulus. You may be able to extract data from the station using the Weathersmart software and produce a EasyWeather.dat file that Cumulus can read see the wiki http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/EasyWeather_Format

Thanks for the response David. I was wondering how well the wiki was being kept up to date as new model stations came onto the market but I can confirm that stations that use Easysmart have a different protocol than easyweather and so unlikely to work with Cumulus. I confirmed this from the manufacturer (Fine Offset) and also did a test with both software and a WH1080 station. Easyweather connected, easysmart wouldn't.

Cheers
Steve

Wiki is up to date as far as stations are concerned as Steve has not added any new ones for a long time, due to his travels and change in circumstances.

I think that situation will continue for the foreseeable future.
