Weather Underground Keys

Post by G6GUH »

Hello
Which weather underground key should I use in CumulusMX ? is it the one which I registered my station with or the Api developer one.
Hopefully somebody can explain the difference.

Thanks Pete

Both I think........"Station ID" which for me is "IWALES***" then password which I think is the api key. Again mine starts "ccf********"

Hope this helps.

Thanks Geoff,
Yes it seems to work with both but have problems with weather34 displaying yearly, monthly and daily graphs, forecasts are ok and the weather underground site updates so am at a bit of a loss at the moment. There is usually simple solution bur I cannot see it.

Regards
Pete

I am also confused whether I should use as password the key of the PWS or the WUlogin password (as they state on their website).
BTW: how long does it take from properly configuring Cumulus MX until PWS is reported online???

It's not your WU login password, it's the password (or whatever WU call it) for your station on WU (you can have multiple stations with the same WU login).

These are the two items that you need to put into Cumulus (Station ID and Station Key):
