I have been playing with Cumulus MX on an old laptop and like what I see. I had never heard of Raspberry Pi until hitting this forum but think I would like to get an rPi system to run CMX on but have a couple questions.
Would I still access the CMX GUI the same way as I do on the laptop - via a browser on my PC? If so, would what I see using an rPi setup be the same as what I am seeing now using the laptop?
In case I decide to get an rPi setup ... I am looking at this on eBay ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raspberry-Pi-3- ... l3NcVPvdYQ
If I bought the "Complete" kit, would this be all the hardware I would need to run CMX (I know I also need to supply the monitor and keyboard)? Any suggestions on which of the two power supplies offered to get?
Thanks - Herb

Yes you would just make sure your firewall allows you to access the particular ports.Would I still access the CMX GUI the same way as I do on the laptop - via a browser on my PC? If so, would what I see using an rPi setup be the same as what I am seeing now using the laptop?
Yes it would although some people by a bigger SD card or run the main system on a USB stick or a external attached SSD disk, which work better on powered USB hubs. Go for the official power supply as some alternate copies do not supply the rated output and that is crucial to a reliable system. If I bought the "Complete" kit, would this be all the hardware I would need to run CMX (I know I also need to supply the monitor and keyboard)? You don't really need a dedicated monitor, just use one to do the initial setup (I use a TV), then when you get the hang of it you can do everything remotely from your laptop - don't event need a keyboard on the pi.

Both. But I already had CMX running so was just a matter of copying the directory over.VTHokie74 wrote:You mean the RP3 or CMX too?

Great! I made a similar switch last year except I was running Cumulus on an old laptop with Windows XP and moved to CMX on a RP3.
