Hi,
I've a problem with the German "Umlaute" in the HTML-files.
All templates and the strings.ini are stored as UTF-8.
But:
- on the index.htm the forecast is shown without the correct German "Umlaute" but within the table the German "Umlaute" are shown correct (see picture1.png).
- on the record.htm the month isn't shown with the German "Umlaut" but in the description column the German "Umlaute" are shown correct (see picture2.png).
I'm a little bit confused!
Does somebody has a hint for me?
Regards Frank

If you run your pages through the HTML validator, you will see that there are errors which are causing the pages to be interpreted as windows-1252

Re: German "Umlaute" in HTML-files
My advice would be to convert your pages to HTML 5 like the ones supplied with Cumulus - it shouldn't be too hard - and make sure the templates are saved as UTF-8 (without BOM) with the correct encodings, and that you have UTF-8 selected in Cumulus. This will eliminate a number of causes of problems and it will then be much easier to determine whether there is a problem in the MX page generation.

Re: German "Umlaute" in HTML-files
Hi Steve,
thanks for your reply. I already changed the files to utf-8 (without BOM). OK, it wasn't realy HTML5 and I changed it now. But, still the same: German "Umlaute" not correct.
I used the origional files send with cumulus for testing. The result is shown in screenshort 3 and 4.

Re: German "Umlaute" in HTML-files
You do have utf8 selected in Cumulus, yes?
I'm pretty sure I've tried this myself, because I have a strings.ini file here with lots of French accents in it.

Oops! Sorry, didn't doppelcheck the settings. I thought I had selected the utf-8 in cumulus!
That was the clue!
Sorry and thank you very much for your help.
