Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

What does this mean?

Post by kapo »

Hi Steve
My MX1 has worked o.k. since I downloaded it. But Yesterdy MX.exe started to write: ***web tag error - see MXdiags file ***.
MX works still o.k. except that web tag error text. But in MXDiags, there is much more text. Is it possible to me to correct that? If it is, a little bit help should be welcome. Pic. of that MX.exe and MXDiags attached.

It's a problem with parsing the 'Last rain tip' string for the <#MinutesSinceLastRainTip> web tag. Could you please look in today.ini, and paste the line starting "LastTip" (in the [Rain] section) here?

Yes, thanks. That's the default when you start using Cumulus, and it's not a very useful default, it looks like .Net is complaining that it's not a valid date - it does have a point, I'll admit!

Presumably you have had no rain at all since you installed MX, and you're not using your data from Cumulus 1? Too cold for rain?

I'll fix the default in the next build. You could edit that line in today.ini (with MX stopped) to a valid ISO timestamp in the past, or just ignore the error message until you get some rain.

Yes, it has rained after I installed MX1 first time, but after latest update (b3036) it has not rained. No, I don't use Cum1 at all, only this beauty MX1. It really is too cold to rain, only snow falling. Last friday it was -28,7 °C... I'll ignore that message, MX1 works o.k. No any reasons to change anything.
