Wind run calculation

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Wind run calculation

Post by Hunter362 »

Steve,
Does MX use the same formula to calculate wind run?
2 identical consoles, one transmiter, so they both get the same data.

Cumulus 1.94 (1096) Windows 7
MX (b3019) Ubuntu Linux

Totals from today and yesterday are different by about 30 miles or so.

today: (1.94 ) 17.6 mi MX 34.9 miles
yest: (1.94) 76.4 mi MX 105.1

Both programs have a multiplier of 1.25 in their settings,
read that somewhere in the forums to compensate for a little shorter standard mast.

They shouldn't differ by that much if they're getting the same data. Do you have them both running 24/7, or does one or both of them use logger data at any time?
