Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Cumulus MX Gauges

Post by water01 »

In the 3017 build it was announced that Cumulus MX uses the 2.5.3 gauges.

2 questions if I may?

1) There appears to be no Wind Run counter on the Wind Rose gauge, is this a deliberate omission?
2) With 2.5.0 release onwards a Cloud Base gauge is available do you intend to add that into the gauges page in the interface?

I think David meant that there is no wind run on the wind rose on the interface.

The UI doesn't use 2.5.3 yet, it probably will do at some point. The announcement did make it clear that it was the web site gauges which were now at 2.5.3.

The UI wind rose may include the wind run at some point. I may add the cloud base gauge to the UI at some point, as there is room for it. But nothing will happen to the gauges until they at version 2.5.3 or later.

OK thanks Steve, missed the bit about the web site gauges.

As the gauges are part of the standard web site will realtimegauges.txt become a standard upload i.e. doesn't have to be defined as an upload file like reatime.txt?
