Odd values

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Odd values

Post by mlj1 »

Hi Steve,
First of all, thank you very much for your work and sorry for not having found time to betatest before yesterday.
No apparent problem during installation of CumulusMX.
Windows Vista SP2
Virtual VP running Cumulus working on port 6
running Weatherlink working on port 7
running CumulusMX working on port 8
Everything seems to be OK from VirtualVP side.
Copied content of Data of Cumulus directory to CumulusMX Data directory
Copied cumulus.ini to Cumulus.ini and changed ftp config

Pages can be checked here :
Cumulus : http://www.mlj1.com/cumulus/index.htm ----> Everything working fine
CumulusMX : http://www.mlj1.com/cumulusmx/index.htm ----> Odd values

Uploading seems to be ok and Now and Today pages show normal values except Sunrise and Sunset
The gauges are working, except bad max scaling on barometer
All others pages show some odd values mixed with good values.
Trends show only integer values and pressure button does not work.

I started to read all the posts devoted to CumulusMX but dit not find that somebody had the same issues.
I think I've probably done a big mistake somewhere during the install process but I could not manage to find it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Marcel

Your pressure gauge is 'odd' because you seem to have an all time record high pressure from somewhere inside Jupiter!

pressH: "104351916503906,00"

The trends page is a known issue with comma decimal locales, I suspect that the other problems are also due to the comma decimal (I haven't looked any futher).

It appears your index page on the CMX site is not updating. Last update time shows as 17:55 and the other site is 23.42 which is the time now. The gauges page on the CMX site is updating correctly and displays corresponding temperatures with the Cumulus 1 site.

In your latest MXdiags file there is also this error...

2015-01-17 22:18:32.740 Error at line 4528 of data\janv.15log.txt : Constraint
2015-01-17 22:18:32.740 Please edit the file to correct the error

It is worth having a look to see what is on that line.

Thank you very much Mike and Duke,
I must be tired because I did not find the error in the janv.15log.txt !
I have also different values in alltime.ini files in cumulus and in cumulusmx directories.
Don't know if this is the normal data format in CumulusMX.
I enclose the 3 files here. Thanks for having a look on them.
Regards

In the janv.15log.txt file, the date jumps backwards at line 4527 from 16/01/15 to 14/01/15 and then repeats all the data from that point on again.

Also the last few lines contain some wacky numbers.

Last modification for today : i stopped CumulusMX
cleaned the data directory and pasted in it the content of data directory from cumulus.
And I still have "gigantic" values on all pages. I'll be back tomorrow :)

There are a number of issues with comma decimals. The user interface, in particular, as noted in the 'known issues', but also in the engine itself, as observed by other users in other threads, mainly because Cumulus isn't always given the correct information about what locale the system is set to. When I get chance I need to investigate all of this.
