Station Not connecting to Linux mint [SOLVED]

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Station: Davis vue
OS: Linux mint 17.1 (latest)
version: 3004

I got everything installed OK on a clean install of linux mint. I cant seem to get MX to connect with my station, I've tried changing port numbers etc.

On Linux your comm port will not be COM2, it will be something like "/dev/ttyusb0" or such. You need to check in the /dev folder and see what appears.

Edit: assuming you are using a USB/serial adapter.

Thanks Mark for pointing me in the right direction. I used '/dev/ttyUSB0', it seemed to be case sensitive.
