Web Interface

Just a question not a problem. If I leave my browser on another machine with a Tab running the interface, eventually the connection is lost.

Does CumulsMX have a timeout on the socket?

It has a timeout of 5 minutes for idle connections. The client code for the dashboard sends a message once a minute to keep the connection alive. Is the tab still in the foreground? Perhaps the browser stops the javascript timers if it's not.

I have loads of tabs open all the time, so it is not always in the foreground, so that is probably what drops the connection. It reconnects as soon as I do a refresh, so it is no big deal, just wondered why.

I tried leaving the dashboard open in a 'background' tab in Chrome for about 20 minutes, and it stayed connected.

I have had it connected in IE11 for almost 2 hours now, but if I go away or go to another program is seems to disconnect. As I said it is no big deal as an F5 refresh restores the connection.
